The MegaFlow™ Overflow System design draws water from the surface, mid-range, and bottom levels of your aquarium. The Recirc 150 skimmer is built on a simple, proven design. This skimmer comes with a needlewheel driven pump. Setup is very easy; simply place the skimmer in your sump, plug it in, adjust the riser pipe, then let it go. This is truly a plug and play skimmer.

The skimmer is constructed of cell cast acrylic, true schedule 80 unions are also used on these skimmers.

Collection cup removal is very easy, simply loosen the large union on top and the skimmer and remove the collection cup. Collection cup removal requires less than 1 inch of additonal clearance.

In addition to this skimmer you will also need a feed pump to supply water to the skimmer. We recommend a flow rate of up to 1.5 times the volume of your tank. In this case no more than 270 gallons per hour.

This skimmer can be run external from a sump. It may require a small amount of plumbing in order to install this skimmer as you will have to route the exhaust from the skimmer back to your sump.

Issues: Has some serious reliability issues. When I turn the pump off to do maintenance or sometimes to feed, it is a gamble whether it turns back on. It is fairly quite, but I am doubtful if I will ever purchase another.
